Do you need to learn how to make a business case for tools?

Are opensource testing tools of interest? If so, do you want in depth hands on practical instruction for one particular tool e.g. Selenium which we have tried once already, or simply get a flavour of the numerous opensource tools and approaches that are out there.

Are test managers interested to compare and contrast commercial tools with opensourse or the DIY variety?

Are test automation frameworks still of interest?
